Andrew Urban, creator and presenter of Front Up, the award winning social documentary program, is speaking at the Museum of the Riverina, Wagga Wagga, on October 16, 2024.
Andrew will speak on his pioneering journalistic work, that reflected the growing diversity of the Australian population and field the tough questions from the audience during a facilitated Q&A session. This will be followed by lunch and the chance to meet the man himself.
Front Up was a media sensation during its nine year run, winning the Mardi Gras Mainstream Media Award. These days Andrew is writing books and blogging about wrongful convictions.

Why Wagga Wagga?
Because the Museum of the Riverina in Wagga Wagga invited me.
That’s really cool, Wagga isn’t exactly the first place that comes to mind as a place of culture vultures. Wish I had made it, I missed you by a day.
Recently read a judgement from the Wagga criminal court trial, R v Greeves.
They should never have been charged. Just a fresh pair of eyes belonging to a proactive, over enthusiastic police detective is all it took after 20 years, with all the same evidence + one amended coached witness statement. Scary
