Thank you for the link to the livestream. I watched parts of the Appeal. Noticed that one of the judges shut down Z Burrows when she started to talk about B Lehrmann’s mental health at the time of The Project broadcast. He had been admitted to RNSH for suicide ideation. Before cut off, Burrows reminded the judges this was in the public domain.

Burrows highlighted how Lehrmann had been treated by the media, stating that no journalist would ask him if he was ok. Media then made a point of stating that they had asked him whether he was okay as he exited court. They must not have read Exhibit 95 on the Fed Court file that includes “Bruce denies any wrong-doing, and reports that night he did share an uber however there was no intercourse or any romantic relation. He had not heard any thing about this until yesterday – nil complaints flagged, nil charges, nil contact from victim. It has come as an enormous shock and he has been considering suicide.”

Judges did not appear interested in the vitriol in media and social media, with one asking: “Is this a speech, or is this a submission?”

The last time i had the experience of a fat naked and vomitious watchamacallit presenting to me on the parliamentary red leather couch…
    i did a runner…
An Appeals Court judge would have
    difficulty with that response…
    Is it a cultural thing…?
