Artist Sky Parra’s DENIED project of portraits she has created of wrongfully convicted subjects is central to a special panel event in Hobart on Saturday, May 17, 2025, with speakers including former Lindy Chamberlain lawyer Stuart Tipple.
“From flawed evidence to investigative bias, this panel will reveal the shortcomings of our criminal justice system – and what must be done to fix them.”
the ? flawed evidence occurring in Tasmania is frightening. Recent UTube created on the subject of the Port Arthur deaths and the Martyn Bryant conviction…….30 years ago, and the possibility of another culprit being involved. Wow……”The Wasp” narrative on the subject is mind blowing. 20 years ago the Susan Neil Fraser fiasco again causes me NEVER TO TRUST THE SYSTEM…..and my own problems with the system 60+ years ago the same. I support anyone trying to make all aware of issues with the system, either by the written word, tv exposure, or indeed art work.
Became interested in wrongful convictions when talking to Sky Parra with her painting of Derrick Bromley .
